Abelard's New Digs!

The most exciting things are happening in my life! For those who actually visit and read these blogs -- and surprisingly I still receive e-mails from people who are just discovering them -- I'm sorry that I just haven't been able to write much for the past months. I do have a good excuse, though. Everything, absolutely everything, has changed in my life!

Since July I have gotten a divorce, sorted through a decade’s accumulation of stuff, shopped for a new home, bought a new home, built fences, kennel runs and bought more furniture in more boxes (oh my God that is a rant waiting to happen) than I could have imagined, found a GREAT job, and completely reinvented my life. I’ve also lost 15 pounds – still have a way to go on that one – and taken 100% responsibility for the direction I want my life to take for the first time in… a long time. Yes, I have been incredibly busy.

That said, I think about writing and about what I want to rant about probably 25 times a day, so before long I will be at it once more.

In the meantime, I just wanted to offer a huge internet hug to my friends, my family, all the folks who've sent e-mails about the web site, my puppy people, The Secret, Skyy vodka, and perhaps most of all to my dogs for making what should have been a stressful, horrific period into a glorious adventure into the best part of life yet! As you can see from the above photo, my new house is 103 years old, set 5 minutes from the freeway but surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmland. I just could not have found a better place (and if you need a realtor, you definitely need to work with Ken Matthews -- poor guy put up with more nonsense from me than you can imagine, and seemed to have fun doing it, which I'm sure he didn't!)
