Gone, but never forgotten. Quest
Ch. Boitano's Band on the
Run to Abelard, OS It is with great sadness that we share the horrible news that we lost Quest to hemangiosarcoma in June 2004. He was one of the most incredible friends anyone could ever have, and his passing left a tremendous hole in our hearts. Please support the research efforts being made in identifying and treating early cancers in all dogs so that our pain won't continue to be repeated over and over in hearts around the world. As a 6-month old puppy, Quest went Best in Sweepstakes at the National Specialty, showing his little heart out and making everyone around him smile. He finished his championship in style and went on to win a Third Place (2000) and Second Place (2001) in the Stud Dog Classes at the GRCA National Specialties, competing against some of the top producers in the country. He matured into a sensible, trusting, even-tempered gentleman (except for his passion for tennis balls). He never met another dog he didn't like, and the memory of Abelard puppies crawling all over him, pulling his ears and hanging off his ruff while he rolled his eyes and chewed his ball will never fade. Life will never be the same without Quest. Quest's offspring include Champions in Canada, the U.S. and Brazil, Specialty winners in the U.S. and Canada, Group-winners and treasured companions. He is an Outstanding Sire according to the guidelines set out by the Golden Retriever Club of America. Good night, sweet boy. My last words to you were, "We had a hell of a run." In my heart you will run forever, ball in your mouth and smile on your face.
