There are several Abelard dogs out there currently pursuing their titles. Here are a few! (currently under construction)
"Betty" Betty is the absolutely adorable puppy that everyone wishes they owned. Already a rising star, she has two Best of Opposite Sex in Specialty Sweepstakes wins, shown to perfection by owner Ken Matthews. Betty is by our beautiful Banjo son Quest out of reigning queen Summer. Her full pedigree can be viewed at: k9data.com/pedigree.asp?ID=164581. For info on Betty, contact Ken directly at kbmatthews@earthlink.net.
"Lucky" After awhile, most of us start to shy away from placing top show prospects with complete novices, but there was something about Bill Burns' sincerity and dogged determination to get a nice puppy that I found irresistible. Thank goodness. Bill has worked very, very hard to put some nice class placements on Lucky, and was recently awarded his first points and even a Best of Breed honor! We're so, so proud of Bill and Lucky. To see this boy's pedigree (who Bill proudly announces has all of his clearances), please visit k9data here: http://www.k9data.com/pedigree.asp?ID=160278. Lucky and his owner can be reached at rwb@olyridge.net.
"Mister" His first weekend in Canada, Mister came home to owner Pam Hird with a championship and a Best Puppy in Show win. He also pointed quickly and easily in the U.S. and, when he finishes going through the gangly teenage boy stage, will be campaigned towards his championship. Mister's father is the great Am/Can Ch. Windrift's Just My Style, CD, who was Best of Opposite Sex at the 2001 Canadian National Specialty as well as winner of the Bred-By Exhibitor class at the 1998 GRCA National Specialty. For more information on Mister, contact his owner directly at Pam_Hird@nass.usda.gov.
"MacDuff"
For the first couple
of months of his life, MacDuff was so small that I didn't have the heart
to place him in a show home. We kept looking at his structure and saying
"It's all there, he's just so tiny." Well mama, look at him now!
"Rizzo"
During the period
that personal matters forced us to move away from the show ring, it was
Joan Meyers who stepped forward and told me she believed in Rizzo. And
just look what she's done with her! Pointed and having the time of her
life. Thank you so much Joan.
Many, many, many, many more to come. I'm trying! If you have a photo and info on an Abelard dog who is currently competing in any venue, please let drop me a line at abelard@wavecable.com.
